I’m SO excited about this. Many of you know that it has taken me 6 years to get in to this marathon. Last year I ran the Chicago Marathon because I didn’t get in through the lottery for NYC. The year before, in 2009, I thought I had run my nine qualifying races but was one short, and joined Team for Kids only to get injured and miss out again. But now, after years of anticipation, it is finally my turn to run! No going back now!!!! I just want to thank you all in advance for listening to my incessant running chatter, my obsession over making sureI hit my mileage goals, what will become my crazy sleeping/waking up and running hours, my calorie counting and nutrition info reading, and general excitement and fervor. This race is my holy grail and not only am I pumped up to run, but I’m super pumped to share the experience and process with you. :)
